Since 1983, I have been deeply engaged with the leaders of REALTOR® associations and Multiple Listing Services (MLS) across the country as a trusted strategic advisor and professional facilitator.
Driven by the rapidly-changing landscape of organized real estate and the necessity of forward-thinking leaders to adjust to the transitions the industry is making right now, I work closely with organizations to guide them through the strategic change process, from assessment to change management to implementation.
As a thought leader in the industry, I write on and speak nationally about key issues affecting organized real estate’s future and my innovative strategies for meeting this future. My background is unique amongst industry consultants, as I have 30+ years of broad experience working with more than 350 organizations – REALTOR® associations, Multiple Listing Services and technology vendors. I was a founding employee of BORIS (MLS vendor), CEO of Michigan’s largest regional MLS and am the President of my firm, Focus Forward.
I live with my wife Sue in Denver, CO, and we enjoy new travel experiences and the outdoors. Church and family are very important to us, spending as much time as we can with our four adult children and grandchildren. Most recently, I’ve rediscovered my passion for live music, playing guitar and singing.
My work with Focus Forward allows me to fulfill my passion and commitment to transforming organized real estate through empowered leaders. My goal is to help create an even better future for the people I’ve had the honor of working with for over 30 years – Association and MLS executives, valued staff, the dedicated volunteers who serve as directors and decision-makers, and the technology vendors who support our industry.
