Richard Haggerty and his team have been on the move since they merged three associations over the past 18 months. They are leading the way and showing all of us how to do it right. There is a logical and business-like “flow” to these type of opportunities for REALTOR(r) associations and MLSs. They chose to focus on the associations first. This resulted in one Board of Directors to make a series of good business decisions about how to best serve the members through MLS and other association services.

Next up was the creation of the joint MLS. In May 2012, the Directors of the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors, Inc. (HGAR) formally approved the merger of the Greater Hudson Valley and Empire Access multiple listing services into one MLS organization, the
Hudson Gateway Multiple Listing Service, Inc. (HGMLS).
Now in 2013, the Hudson Gateway MLS will focus on picking the best MLS system and related services for the long-run. They have engaged Focus Forward including Kevin McQueen and Lisa Jackson to work closely with the staff, leadership and search committee to make the right decision for the member’s success — for the next decade.
Hudson Gateway is on the move and showing us the way – the first of many more collaborations to come.
