This week, I was one of a handful of consultants who participated in both sessions of the NAR Core Standards Facilitator training.  One session was to train and approve professional Merger facilitators and the other session was for Strat Planning.  I was approved for both by NAR.

I learned all about the requirements for associations that wish to receive grant money from NAR for Strat Planning or Mergers.  We learned about the process and the timeline.  Core Standards and “organizational alignment” is a work-in-progress for sure.  It’s great to have the knowledge so I can be a valuable resource to you and others.

A good place to start and keep current on the latest information is at the Core Standards FAQ site.  It was just updated on July 7.  Cliff Niersbach will post ongoing updates on the site.

I would be happy to provide you with the details about what you MUST do to be eligible for NAR grant money.  Contact me at kevin@kevinmcqueen.com or (720) 449-1045 and let me know if you are interested financial support for your Strat Planning possible Merger with another organization.  I can walk you through it.

We also received a Core Standards cost estimator worksheet.  You can use and customize it to project your costs to comply with the Core Standards. If you would like a copy of the worksheet, send me an email

Now is the time to prepare for your future and take advantage of all of the support, guidance and funding that is available for a specified time period.

It’s going to be a great year for those who are proactive.  I hope you will decide to be one of them.
